Gerard’s, a family business established in 1993, is built on a deeply rooted passion for the home, interiors, entertaining, and receiving guests. The Gerard’s family began its quest for finer things in the early 1900s as importers of fine linens from Europe and the Middle East. Throughout the years, the family has continued to seek the finest china, silver, jewelry and objets d’art for its discerning clients. At Gerard’s, we pride ourselves on the long-held traditions of hospitality and graciousness and believe that every opportunity to entertain guests, no matter how informal, is an occasion to be honored and celebrated.

1993
Gerard’s began as a home-based business and moved shortly thereafter into an office on Marina Mile in Fort Lauderdale. In the early years, the primary focus of the business was the yacht refit market.
1996
After three fast-paced and highly successful years on Marina Mile, Gerard’s moved to the 17th Street Causeway and found ourselves expanding from yacht refit projects to new build projects around the globe. During this time we designed a one-of-a-kind software program for the yacht interior market and started expanding our inventory and cultivating manufacturer relationships worldwide. This allowed us to efficiently accommodate the industry’s rapid growth, the larger yachts being built, and the increasing demand for higher-caliber interiors.
1998
In 1998, Gerard’s opened its first showroom, showcasing over 300 lines worldwide while maintaining a second warehouse location with stock/inventory ready to go for fast-paced projects, which were prevalent in the late 1990s. A pioneer in the sector of yacht outfitting, Gerard’s was the first to introduce fine tabletop, linens, and service items from around the globe to the yachting industry. Offering an unrivaled inventory and extensive interior design knowledge, Gerard’s Bahia Mar showroom became a one-stop shop for owners and crew looking to elevate their onboard entertainment.
2002
Continuing to expand with the demands of the industry, Gerard’s opened a 7,000-square-foot facility showcasing over 500 lines worldwide. We added a major component to our business and services by adding an on-site manufacturing workroom staffed with seamstresses and upholsterers to handle the demands and tighter turnaround requirements of the yachts. This was proven to be a valuable asset as the owners could get their interiors finished faster and yachts out to sea / on charter, by using one company / one source to coordinate, manufacture, supply and install. Gerard’s quickly became known for turning out interiors at a record pace.
2018
Now celebrating its 25th year, Gerard’s continues to provide design, manufacturing and outfitting services to its yacht and residential project clients worldwide.
